The Primum Vinum is the Monte Chiare signature wine to express the full potential of rheir oldest Sangiovese vines. The Sangiove grapes are carefully selected in two seperate harvests. The best bunches of Sangiovese are chosen at the end of September and dried in the historical Vinsantaia for 25 days, in order to improve structure, complexity, and smoothness. This Supertuscan can age for years but it reaches its peak elegance and varietal expression after 5 years.,The Supertoscan has a deep ruby color withe garnet nuances. The aroma presents a blend of blackberry, cloves, eucalyptus, and coffee, complemented by undertones of tobacco and chocolate. The palate is round and full-bodied, with elegant tannins and a fruity and balsamic finish.
